- What is the Drug Free Communities Program?
The Drug Free Communities program is one of the Community Partnership’s
special projects, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of
Juvenile and Delinquency Prevention. This program is aimed at making
our community drug-free and a safer, healthier place to live.

- Goals of the Program
- To build a stronger anti-drug coalition in
Augusta-Richmond County.
- To reduce the use of tobacco, alcohol, and
marijuana among the youth in the community.

- Objectives of the Program
- Increase community involvement in the coalition.
- Become the “single point of information and
referral” for drug abuse prevention.
- Increase awareness of the risks associated with
drug use among youth and adults via various media outlets.

- Actively recruiting new members to build a strong
collaborative.
- Establishing a “Single Point of Information and
Referral” phone line.
- Developing a web page on our web site for
information and referral.
